Welcome to Mt Clinton UMC

A Step To Happiness

In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
    and the Word was God.

    And the Word became flesh
    and Lived among us,
and we have seen His glory.

Announcements

Offering Envelopes
If you currently do not have envelopes and would like them for 2009, or if you currently have envelopes and do not wish to have them, please let Jennifer Ours know by December 28.

UM Women's Support of the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank

The UMW certainly thanks each and every one of you for supporting the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank all year long. Your gifts have gone a long way in feeding the hungry in our area. According to an article in the Nov. 17 edition of the DNR, it has been a tough year for food banks. There has been a 33 percent increase of families requesting Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets, and also an increase of 40 to 50 percent of needy people receiving food each week.

At the same time, there has been a drop in donations as more and more people are forced to cut back to make ends meet. So for the month of December, if you can, please send a tax-deductible monetary donation to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, P.O. Box 937, Verona, VA 24482-0937. And remember to thank the Good Lord for His blessings on you and everyone here at Mt. Clinton United Methodist Church.

Save the Cost of Stamps...
and bring your christmas cards to members to the church. We have a mail center in the hallway between the sanctuary and the elevator. Put your christmas cards to church families in there. Everyone check your mail boxes for christmas cards and other important mail through the church.

United Methodist Family Services

Upcoming Events

Scheduling Events

It has been noticed recently, that there has been conflicts in scheduling events at our Church recently. It would seem that things would work best if all meetings, programs, and special events to be held at our Church were checked through a Central Calendar to be kept in the Church Office at the Parsonage in the future. Hopefully this will avoid double scheduling and possible inconveniences.
