Announcements

Praises & Prayer Requests

We want to provide an avenue for everyone (including visitors) to share in the Praises and Prayer Requests time in our Worship Serviced here at Mt Clinton UMC. The Evangelism Committee, along with members of the congregation, realize that not everyone is necessarily comfortable bringing up their praises or prayer requests aloud in our worship services, so in response, we wish to provide you with an alternate way of sharing.

Please note the two fish bowls that have been placed at the alter. One is for Prayer Requests, and one is for Answered Prayers and Praises. The Evangelism Committee has provided cards for you to fill out with your Requests and Praises, and asks you to drop them in the jars at the end of Worship. New cards will be in the Attendance Registers at the end of each pew. Each week, the Pastor will anonymously draw a few to read during the Praise and Worship Portion of our Service. Please just indicate if you wish your request to remain in private.

We are not replacing our standard means and we encourage you to continue to share your praises and prayer requests aloud as asked for in our service; simply we want to include as many people as possible by providing a way to share in an alternative manner.

Easter Backets for Under-Privileged Children

The UM Women is again assisting a community-wide program to assemble Easter baskets for under-privileged children in our area aged 2-12. Items needed are:
small games and toys, stickers, small puzzles, books, plastic eggs, individually-wrapped candy, snack cakes, Easter candy, box drinks, crayons and other school supplies, toiletries (toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, etc.), cellophane and containers to hold the items such as baskets, sand buckets, plastic bins, etc.

If you care to donate, please have your items at the church by Sunday, March 21, as they must be delivered that week. Place these items also in the room to the left of the narthex as you come in the front door. The UMW thanks each of you for your support. Last year enough items were given to fill 600 baskets!

Biloxi Mission Tripp

Pastor Jack will be going on a mission trip to Mississippi again this March and asks for you to pray for him. In an Emergency you will be able to reach him through his cell phone (810-3381).

If you would like to make a donation to this cause, please designate your check for "Biloxi Missions Trip Materials" and make it out to the "Mt Clinton UMC". Thank you for your prayers and support.

Health Kits for Annual Conference

The UMW is still collecting items for Health Kits to be assembled and delivered to Annual Conference in June. For the Month of March, we are asking for bars of soap, 3 oz. and up, and 6 band-aids. You can place these items in the room to the left of the narthex as you come in the front door. Thank you!

Email Addresses Requested

Everyone is asked to let the church office know your email address, if you have one. There is the thought that they could be used in the event of called meetings or cancellations. Thank you.

Prayer Shawls

The Prayer Shawl Committee would like to remind everyone that our ministry is for those who are sick or hurting. They do not have to be members of our Church. If you know of someone who could benefit from the Prayers that go along with our Prayer Shawls, please turn their name in to us.

Harmony House Playground Donations

Donations are still being accepted toward the new playground to be built by Harmony House. Make checks payable to the "Church Trustees", and reference them for the playground. Thank you for any help.

To reduce scheduling conflicts all meetings, programs and special events to be held at our Church need to be checked through the calendar at the parsonage. Hopefully this will avoid double-scheduling and possible inconveniences.
